Don't know why is it so much fuzz about this law... It come in force and works from September 2012. Was there any bad changes in LJ? Make adult lock or friend-lock on your posts and it will good I suppose. This law don't concentrate on homosexualism. There is no law in Russia against gays, except one city. But it don't work in other one. It just should to put age lock on information, to delete sexual video, sites of pedophiles, violence. There were many public cases in Russia rape and after killing of children younger then 10 y.o. Or another situation schoolgirls made video where they was beating classmate and put it on YouTube. Is it bad to delete such information?

What is the most disturbing that foreign media take just few words from mouth and don't give whole situation. And of course all others countries starts to think about Russians as monsters without freedom of speech or else...

I don't tell that this law is all good, it has bad sides also, but they mostly touch only users in Russia inside.

Yea, the media never tells the whole truth, and than rumors starts to spread, and new rumors start forming and etc etc etc. It is annoying when the media censor important information like this. And everything has it's pros and cons ^^ These types of things are everywhere, I mean over here where I am, we have all that u have, I honestly don't think it's easy to get everything under control, but at least Russia is doing something about the situation. It's just the current hot topic going on at the moment, N. Americans or people in general always have to have some country or people to pick on. Like how the US is always trying to force China take on human rights and all that stuff. I remember when the Olympics were held in China, everyone was picking on us about how bad our place was and dissing us...
Each country has their own way of doing things, but people just need to be busy bodies.

In Russia there was the same fuzz also... So government made specifications. Now people more tolerant.

Fun to tell there really absurd interpretations of it. They put age-lock on child's anime movies, which resemble 'Tom and Jerry', because they saw there violence.

Yah... There are always should be somebody bad...
