Once all human feelings and qualities gathered together in one faraway corner of the earth.

When BOREDOM yawned for the third time, MADNESS suggested: "Let's play 'Hide and seek'!"

INTRIGUE raised an eyebrow: "'Hide and Seek'? What kind of game is this?", and the MADNESS explained that one of them, for example, MADNESS itself leads. It will close his eyes and count to one million, while others hide. Anyone who is found in the last one, will lead the next time and so on.

ENTHUSIASM danced with EUPHORIA. JOY jumped so much that was able to persuade DOUBT. APATHY just refused to participate in the game, because nothing ever interested it. TRUTH chose not to hide, because in the end it is always found. PRIDE stated that it is absolutely stupid game (it is nothing but itself did not care). COWARDICE didn't want to risk playing.

"One, two, three," - MADNESS began to count.

LAZINESS hid the first one. It lurked behind the nearest stone on the road. FAITH rose to the heavens. ENVY hid in the shadow of TRIUMPH, which one on its own has managed to climb to the top of the tallest tree. GENEROSITY couldn't hide for a long time, because every place that it found seemed perfect for its friends: a crystal clear lake is for BEAUTY; a crack in the tree is for FEAR; a butterfly wing is for SENSUALITY; a light breeze is for FREEDOM! It camouflaged itself in a ray of sunshine.

EGOISM, in contrast, found for itself a warm and cozy place. LIE hid in the depths of the ocean (or in fact, it hid in the rainbow). PASSION and DESIRE lurked in the crater of the volcano. FORGERFULNESS didn't even remember where it was going to hide, but that wasn't important.

When MADNESS counted to 999,999, LOVE was still looking where to hide itself, but all places were already taken. But then she saw the wonderful rose bush and decided to take refuge among his flowers.

"Million," - MADNESS counted and turned to look.

First of all, it found LAZINESS. Then MADNESS heard as FAITH arguing with God. It sought PASSION and DESIRE because of the volcanic tremor. Then MADNESS saw ENVY and guess where TRIUMPH is hiding. It didn't need to look for the place where EGOISM was hiding because it was in a hive of bees and owners of place decided to expel the intruder. Tired from looking MADNESS came to drink from the creek and saw BEAUTY. DOUBT was sitting near the fence, trying to decide from what side it should hide.

So, all were found: TALENT was in a fresh and juicy grass, SADNESS was sitting in a dark cave, LIE hid in the rainbow (or to be honest, it was hidden at the bottom of the ocean). Only LOVE couldn't be found.

MADNESS searched behind every tree, in every brook, on the top of every mountain and finally he decided to look into the rose bushes. When it spread branches, MADNESS heard a scream. Sharp thorns of roses hurt LOVE's eyes. MADNESS didn't know what to do anymore; it began to apologize; it cried, prayed, asked for forgiveness and atonement for guilt it promised LOVE to become her guide.

And since that time, when the first on the earth was played 'Hide and seek'... LOVE is blind and MADNESS leads her by the hand...
