'Royal entertainment' epilogue: The future horizons Part 7

Asami made wide confident strides towards his father's study. He quickened his pace wanting to ensure with his own eyes that his boy hadn't lost his spark.

Ryuichi's hand paused for a split second a few millimeters from the door handle, but he quickly dismissed all the doubts and decisively opened the door to meet face to face all that awaited him there. The room was empty.

The younger Asami looked around the room, taking note of every little thing. The closed folder with documents that was on the table in front of the chair where Akihito sat. The room was filled with a strong smell of cigarettes. An empty glass on his father's side of the table. A crumpled cigarette box carelessly left at the edge of the table. A pen lying as if the older Asami had just put it down after signing his usual reports.

'Akihito...' Asami's heart sank in the chest, but to his great relief he heard the sound of running water from the adjacent bathroom; and a minute later the door opened.

The photographer came out with his head down. The ends of his hair soaked from washing his face. The boy was deep in his thoughts and didn't immediately see that there was someone else in the room. The photographer was startled when he realized that another person was present in the room besides him. The shock on his facial features softened as soon as he recognized that it was his lover.

Asami stared at his mate: the boy had a swollen face with a red nose and eyes, confirming that he had been crying. However, it was Akihito's eyes, that worried him the most. They were full of sorrow and something else that Asami couldn't classify. There wasn't his usual furious challenge and fire. No, it was still there and hadn't disappeared, but at that moment it wasn't as vivid as before. Asami saw such an expression in Akihito's eyes after Hong Kong on the ship.

The older man narrowed his eyes and held his hand to photographer's face. He caressed the boy's cheek with his fingers. Akihito leaned closer to his lover's hand so Asami's hand cupped a side of his face.

"What did he say?" Asami asked with a roughness in his voice. "You have red eyes; you were crying."

Akihito looked down and removed his cheek from warmth offered by his lover. The boy laughed nervously, turned and took two steps toward the window.

"You don't have to worry." The photographer replied quietly. "It doesn't matter."

"..." Asami approached Akihito and turned him around so they faced each other. One of man's hand remained on the boy's shoulder while the other one lifted boy's chin, allowing him to look straight into his eyes. "Anything about you is important to me. If you cry, then it bothers me."

"You're embarrassing me." The photographer cheeks flushed. "We were just talking. At some point, I was deeply moved, that's all. Your father said you'll show me the room where I will stay."

"Akihito..." Asami said insisting.

"Asami, we really were talking. Your father didn't do anything to me." The boy was trying to hold lover's glance, trying to persuade him that all was well. "He didn't threaten me either. Believe me, it's true. If possible, I want to leave this room. Please."

Asami nodded once and gestured with his hand toward the door. It was usually visible, if the photographer was lying. It seems that now Akihito told the truth, but it didn't change a man's wish to find out reasons that made his boy upset. Asami hoped that his lover will discuss the content of the conversation with the Clan head in a more private setting.

"Hey, Asami?" Akihito grabbed the folder from the table and hurried after the man. "What about my back-pack? I didn't bring it in from the car."

"I'm sure Tetsuya already took it to the room." The man answered and opened the door letting to allow his lover to leave.

"Um, okay." Akihito clutched the folder. Asami tried not to throw too obvious glances at it.

The older man led the photographer in the opposite direction of the corridor they had come before going deeper into the house. A couple small corridors and turns brought them to engava with beautiful views of the inside garden. A wooden terrace ringed the perimeter of it. Asami walked along the building to the sliding doors on the opposite side. There was a corridor of a private part of the house. Asami turned on the left and walked to the end where he stopped before a door. The man opened it and allowed his lover to enter first.

Men walked in silence all the way to a room. Asami was thinking about how to find out all circumstances of the conversation between his lover and father. He had to figure out the essence of a source to solve the problem. The photographer on the contrary strenuously tried not to think about conversation at all; he tried to focus on orienting in the house, albeit unsuccessfully.

Akihito stopped with open mouth as soon as he transgressed the threshold of the room and made a couple of steps. Asami saw the boy stopped moving and was gasping at surroundings. A man silently chuckled.

"Tell me... Are all guest rooms like this?" The photographer muttered.

"No. This is my room. You'll sleep here." The man replied.

"Wow. It is larger than the living room in your penthouse." Akihito mumbled and walked deeper into the room. "Are you sure I can stay here?"

Asami came closer to his lover, smiled and patted him on the head then he sat down on a low sofa. The man allowed his curious kitten to check out the new premises.

The room was divided in several zones. A pair of low sofas placed in front of a large, wall-hung television were near the entrance. Slightly to one side was a work area with a desk and bookshelves. A huge low bed was behind sliding light panels. The bed was facing the sliding glass panels l that led to the patio where there was a small pool for two with water from hot springs. The patio seems to be floating over the downhill path to the park. Akihito opened the door that led to the bathroom and checked in there too; Asami could hear his boy playing with water tap and enthusiastically speaking to himself.

"I don't even want to know how much money you spent to furnish only that room." The photographer completed his inspection near the desktop, where he put the folder. "I assume the price probably had so many zeros that I never dreamed of."

All the time Asami's gaze followed Akihito like a hawk watching over its prey. The young man turned, leaned on the table and looked at his lover. The look between the two men was strained. The photographer knew perfectly well that he couldn't escape for too long. The conversation will take place whether he wanted it to or not. Every cell in Akihito's body felt the golden eyes following him in anticipation.

Asami broke eye to eye contact and made a pointed glance toward the folder on the table. Akihito traced the direction and after hesitating decided to start the conversation himself.

"No. I didn't sign them yet." Akihito said confidently, although he didn't feel himself so. Asami said nothing, only closed his eyes for a brief moment trying to overcome the emotions. A photographer decided to continue without waiting for a response and incorrect conclusions. "Your father isn't against the adoption and the documents are signed by his hand, but... But he asked me to sign the documents in your absence, after I consider my conversation with him."

"What was that conversation about, Akihito?" Asami asked with blank and plain voice. Akihito knew that voice; Asami used it when he was dissatisfied or offended.

"Asami, you know I actually never thought about what an adoption means. Or what changes would appear between us after signing the papers. The only thing I heard was that I would have to say goodbye to the criminal photography. I felt so sad about this fact that I pushed aside everything else. I was positive that everything would stay as it is now." Akihito began.

"And it is how it will be." Asami said, but Akihito stopped him with a gesture.

"Do you really believe in this? As for me, I'm not so sure. This realization came when your father asked me a few questions. 'Do I know what it means to be accepted into Asami family? Why Asami-san is the one who will adopt me?' And you know what? I realized that I really don't know the answers. Did you wonder yourself why your father put in such a condition?" The young man asked.

"..." Asami frowned. "Thou shalt not be my son, but my brother. A brotherhood was used between yakuza as commitment like an equal partnership for close bonding."

"Exactly!" Akihito jabbed his index finger toward his lover as if trying to pin down the truth on the ground. "That's it! This is exactly what he wants! He wants to make me equal to you."

Asami's pupils widened in comprehension. Although the clan head has had a great measure of experience, his son only had an idea about the principle of his father's thinking. If Ryuichi collected the main pieces of the mosaic, then it wasn't difficult for him to think out the idea to the end. It was a perfect ability which provided a high degree of interoperability and continuity of traditions. People around them hinted that the father and a son can communicate mentally, but Ryuichi knew better; it was only a matter of practice and training. Asami was silent, feeling the depth of the Clan head's goal.

"I see that you have understood." Akihito continued. "Can you imagine my shock when your dad told me that I would be the youngest heir to Asami clan? Your father told me what will await me in this position and what will be expected of me."

"I don't want you to be connected with particular affairs of our clan." Asami rubbed his forehead with fingers. "I just wanted to legitimize our relationship, to make you fully and irrevocably mine."

"Oh, yes... I understood this some time ago. Mine... Sometimes I afraid you will put a tattoo on me with the inscription 'MINE' or something like 'Owned by Asami Ryuichi. In case of loss, please, return.'" Akihito waved off these voiced ideas then came over and sat down next to his mate. "At first I hated this idea. However, I began to realize that it's just your necessity. You know, as animals needed to mark their territory repeatedly."

Asami snorted.

"I don't want the fate of the clan for you..." The older man said wearily. "I want you to stay yourself - as you are now."

"Um, it's strange. You're a part of the clan and a future heir here in Japan. If we will be together, then there is no way for me to be apart from the clan, because this clan is a huge part of your life. You want me completely and irrevocably to be yours, but what do I get?" Akihito said sadly. "You don't mean to give yourself completely in return. You're talking about our commitment... but the relationship needs bilateral involvement of partners. Otherwise it won't work."

"It will work." Asami insisted. "We'll make it work."

"But, Ryuichi, I want full relations. A half-hearted attitude isn't about me." Akihito said bitterly. "If you want me to be a part of you, you have to make an equivalent exchange from your side. No point in wasting time, if you're not ready for this step."

"I understand, but everything in me cries out to protect you from this." The older man replied emphatically.

"I understand your point, but unfortunately for you I won't accept this. You can call me a wife as much as you like, but people in your environment will take me as your pet or a whore." The photographer countered.

"I don't care what they think. None of them dare to say it out loud." Asami said sharply.

"I'm the one who cares. Of course, they won't say it to my face." The young man agreed. "But I'm not an insensible piece of meat which can't understand what people think of me or hear the talk behind my back. Also, I can't stay indifferent to your life style and to what you and Asami Clan do. Are you suggesting for me to live with my wide closed eyes? The way where I will have to rely on your protection in every occasion? Every such moment will only reinforce my feeling of my being defective and worthless. How long will we stay together like that?"

"Your head is running wild again." Asami said. "It's all in your mind. I can protect you well. It doesn't mean that you are defective or useless. Nothing will change between us."

"But this is already happening, Asami." Akihito sighed wearily. "Maybe, nothing will change in our intimate time, but we will be different outside our home because your status will change, because my status will change. My life won't be the same. I'll have to learn to live again."

"This doesn't mean that you have to do all what my father said." Asami pressed emphatically.

"Actually your father didn't ask much of me. He only insisted on little things, such as learning self-defense and weapons possession or how to play the role of your escort at official functions. Anything else is my choice to do or not." Akihito clasped his hands on his knee.

"I don't want you to learn how to kill." Asami turned toward Akihito and turned his boy to him. "It's my sin. It is my duty to protect you."

"I don't want to learn how to kill, but I need to know what to do if a situation arises." Akihito said quietly. "Your father is right, it is better to do something rather than to watch a loved one killed before your eyes, as it was in the case with Kaori."

Asami pupils dilated from the shock. He lets go of the boy's shoulders, stood up and walked over to the glass panel leading to the patio. The man stopped with his back to his mate.

"You are not Kaori." Asami said in a strained voice, clearly enunciating the words. "You are different."

Akihito quietly walked over to his mate and lay his head on lover's back between the shoulder blades.

"You asked me why I was crying." Akihito spoke gently and quietly. "This is the reason for my tears. Your father told me about your twin sister. It's so sad and terrifying. My sincere condolences, I didn't know."

"You're afraid to be with me now?" Asami asked just as quietly.

"Hmm? I don't think I'm afraid to be with you, but a fear isn't something new to me." The photographer wrapped his arms around his mate's waist without changing the position. "I was scared when you grabbed me the first time we met. I was scared when I woke up, naked and bound. You were looking at me and gave a drug. I was scared when Fei Long grabbed me. A few times I was scared when I was persecuted after some photos I took. I'm scared when you don't call for a long time, so I have to wonder whether you are still alive. There are a lot of fears in our lives. It is normal for people to be afraid. Half of our lives contain fears, but only a small part of them has a base. As for me, I'm trying not to lose too much time thinking about this all."

"So you're afraid that the same thing with Kaori happened might happen to you." Asami concluded.

"Yes, I'm afraid of it," Akihito said with a sigh. "But I know that you will do everything possible to prevent this from happening."

"Yes, I will." The older man said authoritatively. "I'm ready to give my life if it will save you."

"Oh, no! Let's do everything to stay healthy and kicking." Akihito released his lover's waist and stood next to him looking toward the garden. "Your father said that you traveled to Osaka in order to return with Kaori. Why did you come back alone? What did she say to you?"

"Nothing. I never spoke to her." Asami replied still looking out the window.

"Heh? How so?" The boy turned his face toward his lover.

"Kaori was at the university when I arrived in Osaka." Asami spoke softly. "It took me a half an hour to locate her. I saw Kaori from afar in the company of her new friends. She laughed, and there was a broad smile on her face." The man sadly smiled looking back in time. "She looked absolutely happy. I realized that if she came back, she would never be able to smile like that again. I stepped back into the shadows so she walked past me without noticing. I watched her go and didn't make any attempt to call to her. I went straight to the station as soon as she was out of sight."

"You let her live the life she wanted. Wow, how unexpected to hear. I'm sorry, I reminded you of the tragedy." Akihito said gently. "Ryuu, your father is right. I should think. Please, don't make any conclusions yet. I need to think and sort everything thoroughly. I need to decide on my future life. I need to find my ground."

"..." Asami swallowed the lump and turned his face toward his lover. "I will accept any of your decisions. Whatever they might be."

"Thank you. Remember, I'm looking for an equal commitment. I won't accept anything else." Akihito said confidently and looked at his lover. Asami nodded. "I hope that you understand and accept this from your side."

Akihito grabbed his mate's tie. Asami allowed the boy to pull himself down. Akihito gently kissed man's lips. Asami pulled the young man to him and deepened their kiss. The photographer broke it needing air.

"Hmm, you know the bed looks very inviting. How do you think it will look if we leave this nicely made bed a dirty, rumpled mess." Akihito smiled slyly, turned and walked toward the bed, taking off his clothes.

"There is no time at all." Asami muttered as he watched his boy throw pieces of his clothing on the floor.

"Hmm? Is it so? No time? I'm sure we definitely can find at least twenty minutes. Are you going to waste what time is left just looking?" Akihito threw aside his boxers and sat on the bed facing his lover.

The younger man sat more comfortably, spread his legs wider and took his penis in hand doing fast work to make it erect. Asami narrowed his eyes, watching as his lover was pleasuring himself. The man immediately began to undress as soon as his little siren started sensually moan and calling for him.

Usually Asami preferred to take time with his boy. He would spend time for a bit of sexual torment of his lover. The older man would slowly undress, then kiss sensual places bringing his kitten to the border of ecstasy, but not allowing to cross for a long time. At the end, he usually would bring them to simultaneous release.

Unfortunately Asami didn't lie; they had a shortage of time. But his lover needed close contact and he did too. He wanted to feel the warmth of his mate's body no less than the photographer did too. The man needed to leave behind a physical memory; this need outweighed rational scales in favor of carnal needs. Asami decided to indulge this mutual necessity, therefore hastened to have some quick sex.

Akihito crawled to the middle of the bed when his lover threw aside his pants and boxers. Asami took a tube of lubricant beforehand from his suit pocket and loudly opened the cap. The photographer licked his lips, watching as his lover's fingers rubbed the lubricant, distributing it evenly on his fingers to make them slippery.

The older man didn't waste a minute, climbed onto the bed and lied down next to his young lover. Long fingers found his boy's ass crack and started massaging the twitching hole relaxing it as soon as possible.

Akihito also squeezed some grease onto his hand from the tube that Asami left near them. The photographer lubricated his palm and cupped his lover's penis. The younger man began to move his hand gently, squeezing it and spreading the lubricant over the entire length.

Asami groaned when his lover changed his light motion to a stronger and more intense stroking. Every time the photographer's hand reached the crown of the penis he would rub it harder, smearing pre-come on its surface. The boy also would push the tip of his finger a little deeper into his lover's slit each time, causing a slight moan from his mate.

Asami also did some quick work preparing his boy. He slipped in the first finger and as soon as the man felt that his younger lover's body began to relax he immediately added one more finger. The older man was kissing Akihito's neck and moaning lips. Soon the photographer didn't feel any discomfort from the three fingers intensely moving in him.

Asami knew that his lover still will feel some pain at first, because he didn't prepare him more carefully. The older lover also knew that his mate indeed needed to feel physical intimacy as well as he himself before the time to leave came. The sex was a type of anchor for both of them this time. Asami pulled out his fingers once he was sure that he won't tear his boy.

"Ryuu... I want you... hurry." Akihito begged.

"Shh... Sweet... I want you too." Asami muttered between kisses.

The man placed himself between photographer's legs, squeezed out plenty of lubricant on his hand and spread it all over his own penis. He raised Akihito's bottom, put a smaller pillow under his lower back and entered him in two thrusts. The boy cried out; his lover stopped allowing his mate to relax a little and get used to the size of big penis.

Asami started to move as soon as his boy relaxed a bit. The first thrusts were slow, but the man was accelerating the pace each time. Akihito reached for his penis and started to rub it in time with the rhythm given by his lover.

Asami has long taught him to enjoy the pleasure on the verge of pain. They are both also enjoyed with a gentle love-making, but sometimes there were moments when a modicum of pain was just the catalyst that is needed. And now was just such a moment.

Asami has reached the desired pace: hard and deep. He could remain on the verge quite for some time, but he knew the time was pressing.

"Ryuu, ugh... I need... um... more." Akihito moaned.

Asami made more penetrating thrust and more intense rubbing on boy's prostate, causing waves of pleasure that made his lover arch his back. The man froze for a second enjoying the tightness of his boy's anal tunnel.

The ringing phone interrupted the two men woven together. Asami groaned and leaned his forehead against lover's chest. Akihito also groaned in disappointment.

"I need to answer." Asami sounded hopelessly.

"Your jacket is beside the bed. I suppose you can reach it, but I'm afraid you are not allowed to take your dick out of me." As proof, Akihito wrapped his legs tightly around his lover's thighs.

Asami reached out and pulled his suit jacket closer then he quickly fished out the phone.

"Yes." A man put the phone close to his ear an said as soon as he pressed the answer button.

Akihito chose this moment to implant himself more comfortable on mate's penis. Asami kept himself from moaning, but in retaliation made a sudden hard thrust.

"Ngh... Ryu... agh..." Akihito moaned loudly.

"Ryuichi, I'll be waiting for you in ten minutes." Asami Isamu said, but stopped before hanging up as soon as he heard a groan with his son's name said as if in a delirium. The man quickly assesses the situation. "Hmm. I see. Ryuu, you have twenty minutes. Try to make it on time." The Clan Head hung up without waiting for a response.

The younger Asami threw the phone sideways and began to make deep sharp thrusts every time aiming at boy's prostate and bringing his lover to the point where his world narrowed to only to a primitive desire to come. At the same time he started to stimulate photographer's penis by hand. The man felt that his own ecstasy approaching and so his pace now became more demanding and almost violent. Akihito cried out and splashed his own seed all over himself. The boy's rectum became quite tight, so after a few more thrusts Asami found his own release.

* * *

Akihito was lying on the bed watching as his lover quickly dressed in a fresh suit after a quick shower. Asami walked over and bent down to kiss the photographer as soon as he tied his tie.

"Akihito, if it's possible, please, stay at the villa. I know your luck in finding troubles so try to stay away from them. If you need anything ask Tetsuya. You saw him when we arrived. He is ordered to attend to you as he attends me. Suoh is coming back with me. Kirishima sent one of your usual guards here. It should be Akira. If you decide to go beyond the territory, please, do it with his escort." Asami bent down again to kiss the photographer one more time, then he stood up and walked to the door.

"Ryuichi." Akihito called his lover. Almost to the door, the man looked back. "Be careful and come back in a whole."

Asami nodded and left.

* * *

Asami Isamu had worked in his study for an hour looking through reports and checking his mail, when his phone rang. The screen showed that this was a call from one of the guards at the gate.

"Asami." The man said pressing the answer button.

"Asami-sama, you asked for me to report as soon as your guest arrives." The guard said. "He will drive up to the entrance in a minute."

"Thank you." The Clan Head hung up, stood up, buttoned his suit jacket and went to greet his old friend.

Isamu came out just as his guest finished parking. He took out his phone and dialed his son, not wanting to waste time. He raised an eyebrow when his son didn't answer until the fifth ring.

"Yes." The voice was a little muted.

"Ryuichi, I'll bewaiting for you in ten minutes." Isamu said, but in the next moment froze when he heard the young photographer moaning on the background. He chuckled to himself quickly assessing the reason why his son replied with a delay. "Hmm. I see. Ryuu, you have twenty minutes. Try to make it on time."

Asami Isamu hung up and at the same moment he was approached by his friend.

"Some kind of hitch?" Approached man raised an eyebrow questioningly.

"Hmm, let say Ryuichi and Akihito are having a little workout," the Asami Clan's Head said with a grin. "I gave them twenty minutes to finish. Good to see you, my friend."

"Hmm... Jeez, why the hell did you have to tell me this. I have a vivid imagination. Now I will sleep poorly because the images will haunt me." The man sighed. "I'm glad to see you too, my old friend."

"If you have such a vivid imagination, why did you never have problems with sleep before, given the number of deaths you have committed? You're still the most legendary assassin in all Japan and even well known abroad." Asami Isamu raised an eyebrow.

Isamu's friend only shrugged his shoulders. "Everyone has their own nightmares."

"Will you come inside?" The Clan Head asked.

"Oh no! I don't want spoil such a surprise to Ryuichi. So no, give my regards to Hina. I'll wait in the car." The man chuckled. "We'll go in this limo? Isamu, please, organizes somebody to follow after us with my car."

"Yes in this car. I'll give necessary orders. Sorry for the wait." Isamu chuckled.

"It's alright. It doesn't matter, the reptiles which we're hunting creep at night. There is still a lot of time." The man answered and climbed into the car leaving the door ajar.

The Clan Head went into the house at the same time giving orders to his assistant standing near the entrance.

* * *

Asami Isamu ended the conversation with his wife and exited into the corridor, where he met his son, heading for the exit.

"Are you ready?" The Clan Head asked.

"Yes, I just finished with the instructions for Tetsuya and Akihito's guard and am ready to go." Ryuichi bowed slightly. "I'm sorry for the delay."

"Hmpf... I'm sure you are not, since you had fun. Well, we should go since it's not polite to make my guest to wait any longer." Isamu replied.

"Who is your guest?" The younger Asami asked.

"Ah! This is my old friend from my student years." The Clan Head grinned. "I told you about him before and now is the time to get acquainted. He has many names; one of the most popular is 'Shinigami'."

Both men exited the house. Near the entrance, Suoh stood next to Katashi Yoshira, who was Asami Isamu's personal assistant. Next to the standing men were a few additional people whom they would take with them.

"Hmm. Is that the most famous assassin?" Asami raised an eyebrow. "He has an impressive resume. I think only you can boast that you know him personally. Usually it is a posthumous acquaintance so nobody can identify him."

"Oh, it is really nice to hear the praise in my presence. Are you my fan?" An amused voice came out of the limo. "I'm afraid my reputation has become overgrown with tall tales in some places."

Asami Ryuichi stopped in his tracks near the opened door. That voice, he most certainly knew that voice. The younger Asami bent down and looked into the car, but even with an iron grip on his emotions it couldn't prepare him for the person who was in there.

"Oh, Kami-sama! I knew your reaction would be a blast!" The man in a limousine laughed. "What a priceless facial expression you just had. It's a pity I didn't take your photo. Well, hello again, Ryuichi."

"Takaba-san..." The youngest Asami muttered trying to recover from the shock.
